This time last year, everything was different. There was no global pandemic and Liverpool were taking the English Premier League away from Manchester City, with neither club having lost in the opening four fixtures.

After four matches this season – albeit much later in the year owing to the late start – both giants of English football have lost a game and currently sit in fifth (Liverpool) and fourteenth (City) place, although City have a game in hand.
