The senior women’s national cricket team, the Proteas Women, look far from ready ahead of the start of the Commonwealth Games in the UK this week.

It is a worrisome development as the Proteas are part of Team SA at the multicoded Games, which start in Birmingham on Thursday and run until August 8.
