Safa is considering putting Banyana Banyana on the same pay scale as Bafana Bafana in the near future as part of the association’s commitment to equality.

“It is where we are going as the association [and] we want to emphasise that it’s where we would like to see ourselves,” said Safa CEO Tebogo Motlanthe this week at an event to bid Banyana farewell as they travel to the CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, which starts in Morocco next weekend and runs until July 23.
