Springbok coach Jacques Nienaber was supposed to have overseen his first game in charge – against Scotland – yesterday, but thanks to the Covid-19 coronavirus-enforced suspension of the rugby season, he spent the day watching New Zealand and Australia’s Super Rugby competitions on TV.

He tells City Press how he has dealt with the delays and preparing a team in a vacuum.
