This weekend, Azania Mosaka turned 44. The radio and TV personality burst into mainstream consciousness as a third of the youth culture and music programme, Bassiq. Since then, she has been relentless about pursuing her dreams.

Her career is inspiring and it just so happens that she looks even more beautiful as the years go by. But she’s not the only one. She joins our list of four celebrities over the age of 40 whose looks are just the cherry on top of their flourishing careers.

Azania Mosaka:

Also endearingly known as Aza, the starlet has a very interesting podcast called The Interiority Podcast, which consists of “conversations with Africans about their inner world and blackness”. Guests have included Nelson Makamo, Dr Bev Ditsie and Lebo Mashile. In March, her nearest and dearest threw her a surprise party to celebrate her two decades in the industry. The do was hosted by Mel Bala. Speaking of Mel…

Mel Bala:

The only reason we know Bala is over the age of 40 is because she was a pioneering presenter of Studio Mix. Otherwise she, like Mosaka, keeps getting more fly by the year. Bala has also had a decorated career as a presenter, talk show host and the voice of reason on many a radio show. If she says it, you can trust it. And now, according to her Instagram profile, she is studying towards becoming a yoga instructor.

Stoan Seate:

Did you really think this would be a list of women? What in the objectification?! No. The point of the list is to show individuals who are still thriving in the pursuit of their happiness, and doing it while still looking great. As such, Seate makes the cut. The legendary co-founder of the multi-award-winning Bongo Maffin has enjoyed solo music success and a career as a broadcaster as well. Like Bala and Mosaka, he’s no stranger to brightening up our TVs. He’s come a long way since presenting Castle Loud with Unathi Nkayi. Speaking of Unathi…

Unathi Nkayi:

Her TV break may have been through Castle Loud but Unathi has ensured all eyes remain on her throughout her impressive career as a presenter, radio jock and singer. She has one of the most infectious laughs and smiles in the business and makes it a point to share her fitness journey with those who need the motivation. Her return to radio through Kaya FM has been a welcome comeback.
