Reading Matters, a distributor and supplier of educational books and resources in South Africa, has released local video stories for kids.

According to its press release, “all the stories are proudly South African and exude the colour and uniqueness entwined through our society”.

With titles such as The Hungry Crocodile, Vava, and Mpume’s Flags, the young ones are sure to enjoy animated readers taking them through vibrant stories they can relate to.

Established in 1997, Reading Matters promotes language and literacy alongside Read Educational Trust, a not-for-profit literacy organisation.

The Reading Matters website is filled with educational resources for parents, learners and educators alike, and the YouTube video stories featured on the website are an excellent tool for learners and teachers during the Covid-19 coronavirus lockdown months.
