Popular Ukhozi FM breakfast show host Sipho “DJ Sgqemeza” Mbatha has been suspended following an internal investigation.
In a statement released on Wednesday morning, the station also said it had suspended two other Vuka Africa breakfast show team members:
“These members are the host and two producers of the show,” the station said.
It was not clear what those suspended were investigated for.
“Management will not discuss this matter further as it is an employer-employee relationship governed by the corporation’s policies. Management has put measures in place to ensure continuity of the show,” added the statement.

Former lunch time host Siya Mhlongo will host the breakfast show alongside co-host Nonhlanhla “Mroza” Buthelezi.
Mbatha was not immediately available for comment. On Tuesday he took to his social media platforms to share inspirational messages.
