VOICES

Hospitals are institutions where people who feel unwell or are suffering from ailments go for healing. Patients go to hospitals hoping to come out healed and feeling better. They are not places of murder and rape, or, at least, they should not be.

However, a recent spate of rapes in Gauteng hospitals have caused hurt, humiliation and fear. As we report elsewhere in the paper, four rape cases have been opened. Predictably, there is buck passing among those who run these hospitals.
