South Africa is choking under the dictatorship of the judiciary. Petty public squabbles among judges, their drunken sprees and unbridled biases have made people cynical about them.

The pretentious frock and pompous demeanour parody the judges as false gods of a staid theocracy that has no understanding of a modern society that is besieged by rapacious diseases and malicious technologies.

Expect no progress because law, like all belief systems, has a narrow perspective of the world, fuelled by fundamentalist proselytising that there can be no better system.
