“My father left me when I was five years old with nothing at all. Twenty years later, he appeared as an accused at Palm Ridge Magistrates’ Court. He approached a young attorney for legal representation and realised [it was me, the son he had abandoned]. He couldn’t look me in the eyes. God works in mysterious ways.”
