When Covid-19 struck, the entire globe was unprepared for the horrific humanitarian devastation it would wreak, shattering lives and livelihoods, stripping the dignity of the pulse of any economy: its people.

It brought with it the harsh reality of the ever-widening gap between the rich and the poor, the gross inequalities in our societies.
