It wasn’t long ago when the conscience of MPs was put to the test. At the time, the debate was whether those who were meant to be the representatives of the people in the legislature were truly for the people or would toe the party line.

In response, MPs were reminded that their conscience had not put them in Parliament and that they were there on the party ticket.
