Shain Mohammed was almost a year old when the conflict began in Yemen. His family escaped from Hodayah to Aden and they are currently living in a rusty structure for a home.

The six-year-old Mohammed has helped his mother collect food being distributed by Penny Appeal in a region in Yemen.

His mother describes what they have gone through and the suffering they have endured. “My husband died during an attack two years ago in Hudeydah. When the war started, Shain was a baby. When he died, we came here with my relatives, we try to survive with the aid you [Penny Appeal] deliver. I was cleaning houses and gathering some money, however, I have no chance to do anything now because of coronavirus.”
