The South African financial sector is putting its hands on the deck in the global fight against the climate crisis.

The Banking Association of SA held a two-day conference this week, with the focus on the role of the financial services industry in supporting sustainable development in the country and dissecting the outcome earlier this month of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change’s 26th Conference of Parties (COP26), known as the Glasgow Climate Pact.
