In the corporate world, our people are made to feel inferior as we are told that we are “previously disadvantaged individuals”, as if our future does not matter. When we choose to work for ourselves, we are told that we are in the “informal market”, as if having an office is a mark of success. They tell us that we are not in the “mainstream economy”, as if our money smells and is not good enough to feed our families.
