The local government elections should be postponed to May next year and the registration weekend scheduled for later this month should also be cancelled.

This is according to former Electoral Commission of SA (IEC) deputy chairperson Terry Tselane, who was addressing a panel headed by retired deputy Chief Justice Dikgang Moseneke this week.
