Kekana was the third witness in the impeachment inquiry into suspended Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane’s fitness to hold office. He was subpoenaed to appear before the section 194 committee and made it known that he was only there because he had to honour the subpoena. He seemed truly reluctant to participate in the inquiry.
