Covid-19 worsens situation for young employees

In its new research published on Saturday titled Are we asking the right questions about ... youth unemployment? the Centre for Development and Enterprise (CDE), the CDE argues that in order to offset the effects of Covid-19 on young people’s unemployment, South Africa needs to adopt a package of realistic policies, backed by political will and astute political management.

If South Africa adopts a package of this nature, “then significant progress could be made in building a faster-growing, more labour-intensive post-pandemic economy,” reads the document.
