Amabhaca King Madzikane II Thandisizwe Diko and his wife, presidency spokesperson Khuselo Diko, have pleaded with the public to give them the benefit of the doubt and consider them innocent until proven otherwise.

The couple said it was fully aware that South Africans have lost patience with corruption following almost a decade of state capture, but urged citizens to allow the investigative process to run its course.

This comes after the Sunday Independent reported on the awarding of a personal protective equipment (PPE) contract to the king who also sits on the ANC’s provincial executive committee.
