Since 2017, seven associates, including two royal family members, have been killed in a dispute that has divided the Mkhatshwa royal family in the Mawewe Tribal Authority. Chief Khulile Mkhatshwa and her mother Eva Mkhatshwa – Queen LaMbokazi – are embroiled in a dispute with other royals over the 8 333 hectares of land under the Mawewe Tribal Authority.
