Flip-flopping education dept calls for patience on reopening of schools

Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga will no longer be briefing the media about her department’s detailed plans regarding the reopening of schools.

Department spokesperson Elijah Mhlanga had said in a statement on Monday that Motshekga would brief the media on Thursday about the preparations to reopen schools.

He said at the time that the minister would reveal details about final dates for the phased approach as alluded to in previous briefings.
