The chief financial officer at the department of home affairs, Gordon Hollamby, is facing charges of misconduct relating to an irregular biometric tender worth more than R400 million that was awarded to EOH Mthombo four years ago.

City Press understands that Hollamby was scheduled to participate in a four-day disciplinary hearing on February 20.
