Four vehicles including that belonging to a municipal manager candidate were torched in an ongoing political and civic feud about who should fill the position of accounting officer at Naledi Local Municipality in the North West.

Angry community members have for the past week kept the municipal offices in Vryburg under lock and key while they demand the dissolution of the council, which they accuse of failing to carry out its responsibilities when it comes to appointing a municipal manager.
