Acting Mpumalanga ANC chairperson Mandla Ndlovu said that the mayor of Nkangala District Municipality, Thembi Masilela (67), was not removed from her position but stepped aside to deal with the criminal cases of theft, forgery and contravention of the Public Finance Management Act she was facing.
