Newly elected Mangaung mayor Mxolisi Siyonzana was forced to flee a community meeting at Glass House in Bloemfontein when tempers flared and blood was spilled on Tuesday.

Siyonzana was so scared for his life that he even failed to attend a council meeting on Thursday, when he was expected to announce the members of the mayoral committee (MMCs).
