This is according to a written protected disclosure made by Vuma to President Cyril Ramaphosa and head of the Hawks, Godfrey Lebeya, among other people, detailing allegations of corruption, defeating the ends of justice and political interference within the police service.
In the disclosure, Vuma – who was suspended earlier this month – listed at least 12 investigations involving more than R3 billion that she was investigating, including expenditure by Police Minister Bheki Cele while on a trip to Turkey.
