The Gauteng government has spent R135.3 million on its eight agri-parks in the past seven years, but only six beneficiaries have moved on and started farming independently on their own land.
This works out to an average of R22.5 million per success story and does not even include the expenditure of the municipalities that are also involved in the projects.
