The North West department of public works and roads’ decision to award a R50 million tender for the refurbishment and maintenance of Nelson Mandela Drive in Mahikeng has turned into a nightmare for residents and the department.

After advertising the tender for the maintenance of a portion of the main road that connects Mahikeng and Botswana, the department, in November, appointed Khosi/Vuyo Logistics to do the work.
