This comes after Mchunu reversed the irregular appointment of Petrus Maselaganye Matji in March. It was endorsed by Cabinet in February.
The Amatola Water board, which was also disbanded by Mchunu in March, had recommended Matji’s appointment despite the fact that its own legal opinion said the recruitment process was flawed because the committee was improperly constituted and it was advised that the process be started from scratch.
