Stellenbosch University bucks the trend, approves lower tuition, accommodation fee increase for new academic year

Only Stellenbosch University (SU) has confirmed that its council has approved lower fee increases for tuition and accommodation for the new academic year – less than what government proposed.

This after Higher Education, Science and Innovation Minister Blade Nzimande had proposed that tuition and accommodation should be increased by 4.7% and 6.7%, respectively.
