Poya has shown City Press court papers related to his claim of defamation against Malik Kashe, also a development manager in the agency, who stated under oath in an affidavit that, since his efforts to block the alleged abuse of power and corruption, his name and that of another HDA colleague had been mentioned in ANC circles in East London as obstacles to the governing party’s “access to state funds”.
