While a lot of time and money has been lost during the Zondo Commission of Inquiry into Allegations of State Capture, the process must be applauded for exposing a poisoned system and revealing the extent of the rot.

This is according to former public protector Advocate Thuli Madonsela, who, more than four years ago, launched an investigation into allegations of state capture after receiving a formal complaint against former president Jacob Zuma.
