During the ANC’s recent national conference, delegates were told for the first time that support for the party could fall below 40% at next year’s general election.

A report on electoral support presented at the second session of the party’s electoral conference last month claims that the party is on track to attract less than 40% of support if issues such as the ongoing power crisis are not addressed immediately.
