Holomisa is lobbying fellow opposition party leaders in Parliament to lead the way in organising a public socioeconomic conference to discuss the country’s burning issues and find mechanisms to change legislation to protect the country’s resources.

The proposal has been put forward because Ramaphosa and National Assembly Speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula had promised to set time aside for an exchange of ideas with opposition leaders, but failed to honour that promise.
