The Mpumalanga High Court provisionally withdrew the charges against Msibi on September 6. Msibi had stepped aside as provincial ANC elections manager and also as agriculture, rural development, land and environmental affairs MEC early this year after he had handed himself over to the police for a fatal shooting on August 22 2021.
