Nkomazi Local Municipality mayor Johan Mkhatshwa accepted his nomination from the floor during a council meeting on Tuesday, even though he had failed the interview conducted by the ANC’s national executive committee (NEC) to appoint a mayor with the requisite skills and qualifications.
