President Cyril Ramaphosa’s opponents in the ANC will get limited time to discuss what they believe has been a regression of the organisation on his watch when the party holds its policy conference in Johannesburg next weekend.

The confined platform will be an opportunity for disgruntled party members to voice their opposition to the implementation of the step-aside rule, which affects criminally charged party leaders, based on widespread claims that it has been contaminated by factional rivalries.
