The State Security Agency (SSA) has been exposed following dramatic revelations at the Zondo commission of inquiry into state capture about the organisation’s weaknesses, City Press was told this week.

SSA insiders – or spooks – spoke about a “shock wave” that had struck the agency, including fear that foreign agencies could seize the moment to infiltrate it and recruit disgruntled members for their own national security interests.
