POLITICS

It has been just a week since the DA elected John Steenhuisen as its leader and he is determined to carry out the vision of the party, instead of focusing on his detractors, some of whom have questioned its race relations, while others have decided to seek alternative political homes.

The party has recently seen many of its members choosing to join Herman Mashaba’s ActionSA, saying they no longer believe in what the DA stands for. However, Steenhuisen believes it is disingenuous for people to leave the party and then make underhand comments.
