Kaizer Chiefs pulled off a miraculous comeback to snatch a 3-2 victory over Polokwane City at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday.

The previously underperforming Glamour Boys dug deep to fight back from 0-2 down to beat a tenacious Rise and Shine.

The Limpopo team have troubled Chiefs over the past few season and they looked like they were going to do more of the same in Pretoria on Saturday.

Lesiba Nku put Polokwane ahead in the 16th minute with a nicely placed lob over Daniel Akpeyi. They doubled their lead in the 61st minute with a Jabu Maluleke free-kick which took a wicked deflection off the back of defender Anthony Agay.

An eight-minute flurry in the second half saw Amakhosi score three consecutive goals.

Willard Katsande pulled the first goal back in the 71st minute with a header. Agay grabbed the equaliser in the 75th minute before Samir Nurkovic scored the winner in the 76th minute.

With 52 points, Chiefs are now six points ahead of Mamelodi Sundowns who have 46.
