In a bid to make it a family-friendly and pleasant environment for non-smokers, Stadium Management SA, which operates FNB Stadium, Orlando Stadium and two other sports venues, will roll out “family stands” in the new year. No alcohol or smoking will be allowed in those areas.

The plan will be rolled out at Kaizer Chiefs’ home ground – FNB Stadium – where a large section of level 2 of the 90 000-seater venue will be demarcated for the families attending matches.
