Safa and some club bosses are adamant that next weekend is too short a notice for season to restart.

Another standoff between Safa and its special member the PSL is on the cards. This follows the league’s decision to resume the season next weekend – which flies against Safa’s stance that there will be no football until at least next month.

City Press has reliably learnt that the mother body did not take the league’s pronouncement well, accusing it of jumping the gun.
