Zambian striker Justin Shonga has joined his partner in crime Augustine Mulenga at the coast, where they will be looking to bang in the goals for their respective teams.

Shonga signed with Cape Town City this week from beleaguered side Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila. Mulenga has been playing for AmaZulu since the start of the season. 

The duo plays together for Zambian senior national team Chipolopolo they also played side-by-side at Orlando Pirates for a few seasons.

“I would like to [thank] the chairperson for signing me. This is a good club with good players. I am excited to join the club,” Shonga said of his signing by the Citizens. 

“I am looking forward to settling into the team and working hard. I would like to win games and trophies with the team. We will work hard for the fans, and I am looking forward to happy days in Cape Town.”
