Versatile Orlando Pirates midfielder Abel Mabaso is the epitome of perseverance. Having waited for four seasons, he is now a regular in the Buccaneers starting line-up.

Last season, Mabaso made only 15 appearances, but, in this campaign, the 30-year-old is well on his way towards eclipsing that mark. The utility player has started in each of Pirates’ seven matches in all competitions so far.
