World Rugby kicked off the outrage by failing to nominate even one Springbok player for its player of the year award, Safa took a page out of SA Rugby director of rugby Rassie Erasmus’ book by publicly dissecting the referee’s performance after their World Cup qualifier defeat against Ghana, and World Rugby (surprise, surprise) banned Erasmus for misconduct for his video criticising a ref’s decisions.
