Acting Cricket SA (CSA) chief executive officer (CEO) Jacques Faul says it wouldn’t look good if the organisation’s next boss was white.

With suspended CEO Thabang Moroe having finally been sent his misconduct charges, and Faul set to return to full-time employment with the Titans in the middle of September, CSA could well find itself searching for a new leader soon.

But Faul says that, due to the current climate in cricket – a sport thrown into turmoil by finger-pointing and racism allegations that have occurred since Proteas fast bowler Lungi Ngidi’s remarks about the #BlackLivesMatter movement – he isn’t convinced that the face of the organisation’s leadership should be white.
