A key witness fled the country and went back to her home town in Lesotho after allegedly receiving death threats and being warned not to testify against actress Zinhle Mabena in her assault case.

The former Isibaya actress briefly appeared in the Pretoria Magistrates’ Court on Monday on charges of assaulting her estranged husband, businessperson Robert Ngwenya, during a dispute at their home in Blue Valley Estate, Midrand, in June last year.
