Metro FM presenters Pearl Modiadie, Bujy Bikwa and Lebo Motsoeli have all left the popular SABC radio station.
The public broadcaster announced its new radio lineup on Thursday, which saw a few changes, including new additions to the line up such as sought-after deejays DJ Lamiez Holworthy and Sabelo “DJ Sabby” Mtshali.
Legendary host Thomas Msengana also bid farewell to the country’s third biggest radio station behind Ukhozi FM and Umhlobo Wenene, marking an end to his popular radio slot The Midday Drive with Modiadie.
The duo will be replaced by Lerato Kganyago, who moves from The Bridge with Somizi Mhlongo and Dineo Ranaka to host her own show, The Midday Link Up, with Melanie Bala and Taz Singh.
Lamiez will host a dance music show, The Penthouse Session, alongside Sikhululo “Lulo Café” Maliwa on Saturdays from 4pm to 7pm while DJ Sabby hosts the Metro FM Top 40 on Saturdays from 9am to 1pm.
The country’s biggest radio station Ukhozi FM saw host Khathide “Tshatha” Ngobe moving from the breakfast show to a slot between 12am and 3am on Mondays to Wednesdays.

Other changes at the Durban-based station saw the return of Sipho Mbatha as co-host of the breakfast show with Mroza Buthelezi.
Listener favourite Selby “Selbeyonce” Mkhize returns to drive time with Siya Mhlongo.
5FM also released its lineup with big changes, including a brand new breakfast show hosted by Dan Corder, alongside news reader Mathapelo Moloi, Xoli Zondo as a sports presenter and Marli van Eeden reading traffic.
Ligwalagwala FM’s music duo Afrotellus left the station after eight years of hosting the midnight show.
For the first time, the station will introduce automation from midnight to 4am on Mondays to Thursdays.

Meanwhile, online radio Massiv Metro announced it would shut down at 10pm on weekdays and listeners will be treated to Massiv Top 30 and The Homegrown Experience from 9am to 3pm on weekends.
All the changes are effective from April 1.
