‘My private parts make a farting sound’

I feel like my vagina has an odour, what can I do about it?

We’ve been conditioned to believe that the light natural odour coming from down there is foul. This is done to market douches, soaps, wipes and other related products which are unnecessary. We are duped into buying them. Ask your partner what they think.

If you’re still concerned, consult your doctor or gynaecologist. They will determine if you have an infection which might be causing the smell. They may also recommend a Ph balancing supplement which should help. Try a clean diet, with lots of fresh fruits and veggies. Avoid strong spices and flavours.

I had a sex dream about a female friend, could I be lesbian?

No, an erotic dream does not define your sexual preference. Perhaps you fancy this specific woman or are missing some love from your relationship with that particular friend.

If you find both women and men attractive then you are on the sexuality spectrum. This all depends on how you feel about sexual acts with other women.

My private part sometimes makes a farting-like noise during sex. Is this normal?

It’s perfectly normal. You’re not the only one this happens to. The noise is nothing to be embarrassed or concerned about.

Instead, you can laugh it off with your partner if it makes you anxious.

The farting-like sound happens when your partner penetrates you. That pushes air into the vaginal canal where it is temporarily stored and then released.

Things are getting a bit routine between my wife and I. How do we begin to role play?

You can re-enact an erotic scene from your favourite movie or pretend to be meeting for the first time at your favourite park or bar.
