Despite Mnangagwa’s promises of reform, Zimbabwe is still in Mugabe’s shadow

A report published by the Rand National Security Division gives an insight into the failure of Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa to salvage the political and economic crisis since he took over from Robert Mugabe almost three years ago.

In fact, there seems to be little or no difference between Mnangagwa’s administration and that of his predecessor. This is because the economic hardships experienced during Mugabe’s administration persist.
